Our Mission

Nationally recognized experts addressing the compeling topics of the day continues to be the goal each year.  50 years later, the goal is just as relevant!

The first Pacific Coast Labor & Employment Law Conference was chaired by Mary Ellen Krug, a pioneer in the field of labor & employment law. An outstanding lawyer, Ms. Krug envisioned a forum where all perspectives would be represented. Still today, the conference is unique as it brings together management, union and plaintiffs' attorneys, as well as neutrals, to explore legal challenges facing today's practitioners.

The program’s proceeds have funded the Mary Ellen Krug Scholarship, which provides funding for exceptional law students committed to the labor and employment law field. Recently, the King County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section has been delighted to also fund summer internships in labor and employment law.

PCLELC has long been a collaborative effort, and honoring 50+ years of outstanding CLE is no exception.  The Pacific Coast Labor and Employment Law Conference is a proud tradition of the labor and employment law bar.
